Jon (Aho) August

Jon (Aho) August, age 71, of Ann Arbor, formerly of Tecumseh, passed away February 9, 2015, of heart failure.  Jon was born August 25, 1943 in Hillsdale, MI, to Carmen Rondon and Vaino V. Aho.  Upon his mother's death, Jon joined the Jack Osburn family of Tecumseh.  He graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1961, leaving a vivid trail of both academic and athletic achievements.  In 1965 he graduated from Michigan State University with honors in Pre-Law and in 1971 from Wayne State University with a Juris Doctor Degree.  In 1971 he passed the  the Michigan Bar exam and practiced law in Detroit.  In 1973 he took and passed the California bar exam and practiced law in Los Angeles, CA from 1973 to 1999.  Jon then returned to the Tecumseh - Ann Arbor area in 1999 when he retired.   His enjoyments were the study of world history, current events, world politics and sports - delving into all with great detail and thoroughness.  Jon loved to share his knowledge at every opportunity.  He also spent time traveling and visiting Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East.  Life experiences varied from running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain to business Alliances with Muhammad Ali.  Jon is survived by the Rondon cousins and their families and by his Osburn foster siblings, nieces and nephews,  He enjoyed his family times and he will be greatly missed.  A memorial visitation for family and friends will be held 2:30 - 4:30 P.
