Henry E. Philo age 83, of Tecumseh, MI, passed away, January 12, 2017. He was born April 8, 1933, Adrian, MI, the son Earl & Maggie (Southwell) Philo. On September 29, 1953, he married Shirley (Raymond) Philo in Clayton, MI. She preceded him in death on February 3, 2000. Henry is survived by one sister, Mary (Jack) Wheeler of Waldron, three children; Michael (Debra) Philo of Tecumseh, Theresa (Philo) Tornow of Tecumseh and Ed Philo of Tecumseh, six grandchildren; Heather (Jody) McKinley, Angela (Tony) Pilbeam, Holly (Jason) Spagnoli, Kellie Philo, Jennifer Philo and Jack (Leigh) Hale and sixteen great grandchildren. In addition to his wife Shirley, he was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Frank Philo and Carl Philo and one sister, Evelyn (Philo) Karll. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Burial will follow in North Dover Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI. A Celebration Luncheon will be provided immediately following Henry's funeral services.
