Willard Scott, Jr.

Willard Scott, Jr., age 63, of Onsted, MI, passed away, August 19, 2016.  He was born January 22, 1953, in Charleston, WV, the son of Willard Sr. & Mae (McCoy) Scott. On May 25, 1974, he married Cindy Caincross in Clintwood, VA, she survives.  Willard worked for General Motors for thirty years, retiring from the Ypsilanti Willow Run Plant in 2006.  In addition to his wife Cindy Scott, he is survived by his children, Angela Scott, Rose Tuttle and Jennifer Scott, eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter who will arrive in November, his siblings, Ray Scott, Ronald Dean (Jean) Scott, Bobby (Jamessa) Scott, Donnie Scott, Jean Scott, Linda Fay Cornette, Zella Sloan and Peggy Scott and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by parents, two brothers, Randall Scott and Odell Scott and one brother in infancy.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 26, 2016, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Rev. Lloyd Jewett officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Shade Cemetery in Onsted, MI. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 25, 2016, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home and also on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
