Vicki Lee Follis

Vicki Lee Follis, age 71, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at her home in Adrian, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 22, 1944, in Adrian, to Clarence and Ethel (June) Remmele. On September 21, 1963, she married Richard "Louie" Follis, her husband of nearly 53 years.  She was previously employed with Seaway Building Services, and before that prided herself in raising her family. Vicki loved sitting on her porch, playing cards, spending time with her family, and loving on her four cats, Gimzo, Smokey, Monkey, and Chewy, and her granddog, Gyzmo.  In addition to her husband, Vicki is survived by four children, Cheryl Follis, Richard Follis, Jr., Brian Follis, and Jennifer Follis, all of Adrian; four grandchildren, Eric (Whitney) Follis, of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Danielle Pate, Devin Stevens, and Madison Butler, all of Adrian; two great-grandchildren, Tucker Follis, of Toledo, Ohio, and Taylor Bradshaw, of Greensboro, North Carolina; and several loving nieces and nephews, including Allen and Kim Snead, and their children Keegan and Dalton, all of Blissfield, whom she loved dearly, and who have provided great support to her and her family during this difficult time.  One of thirteen children, Vicki was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters. Brother Jackie (Vickie) Remmele; sisters Ruth Ann Werdebaugh, Toni Remmele, and Judy Snead; and sister-in-law Linda Remmele survive.  Vicki was, is, and will forever be the infinite anchor of her family, and she will be missed greatly by everyone who knew her.  Per Vicki’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Her family will receive guests in the celebration of her life from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the Purse Funeral Home, in Adrian.  In lieu of flowers, Vicki's family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Lenawee, in appreciation of their incredible care.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
