James H. Gibson

James H. Gibson, age 72, of Tecumseh, passed away June 23, 2017, at home surrounded by his family. He was born May 27, 1945 in Norfolk, VA the son of Orville and Nora (Moore) Gibson.  On October 20, 1979 he married Shirley Ann Mearnic in Saline, MI. She survives.  Jim was retired from Kelsey-Hayes Corporation, Romulus. In addition to his wife Shirley, he is survived by six children, Rosemary (Michael) Knofski, Donald Kennedy, Warren (Lori) Kennedy, Terry Kennedy (Andrew Kupraszewicz), Sheryl (David) Staten and Patricia (Michael) Trudell; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter; sister Shirley J. Gibson; and two brothers, Edward D. Gibson and Wayne G. Gibson, He was preceded in death by his son, John Fitzgerald Kennedy on June 14, 2014, and three brothers, Glen R. Gibson, David A. Gibson, and Ricky D. Gibson.  Private funeral services were held at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.  Burial followed at Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh.
