Helen V. (Condit) House

Helen V. House, age 102, of Tecumseh, passed away October 25, 2016 at Lenawee Medical Care Facility. Helen was born February 14, 1914 in South Lyon, MI the daughter of Jason and Aura (Walling) Condit. On August 25, 1951 she married Elmer House and he preceded her in death. She was a 1931 graduate of Tecumseh High School and went on to beauty school.  Helen was a hair dresser, owning her own shop in Tecumseh and was still practicing her trade well into her 90's. She was active in the Baptist and Pentecostal churches. Helen belonged to the Tecumseh Senior citizens and was an accomplished artist her entire life. Helen is survived by her children, Kay (James) Crone, Sherry (Ancel) Renner and Stephen Moore; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. Besides her husband, Elmer, she was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Wayne Moore, the father of her children; a grandson; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Pastor Doug Leith and Bishop Stephen Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh. Visitation will be 12:00 P. M. (noon), one hour preceding the service on Saturday.
