Catherine M. (Havens) Wilson

Catherine M. (Havens) Wilson, age 57,  of DeWitt, passed away December 15, 2017, at Hospice House of Mid Michigan, Lansing. She was born December 9, 1960, in Tecumseh, MI, the daughter of Benjamin Frank and Doralene (Wimple) Havens. On April 25, 1980, Catherine married Daniel G. Wilson at the Tecumseh First Baptist Church, and he survives.  Cathy was a graduate of Tecumseh High School, Class of 1979.  She was employed for 30 years as a manager of apartment communities. Cathy enjoyed bingo, camping in Holland, MI, and spending time with family. She fought a courageous year and a half battle against breast cancer with a positive attitude and was an inspiration to others. Cathy's beautiful smile and laughter will always remembered and dearly missed.  In addition to her husband, Daniel; Cathy is survived by two daughters, Angela (Mike) Frye and Christina (Andrew) Price, all from the Grand Rapids, MI area; two grandsons, Garrett and Grant Frye; brother, David Havens of Tecumseh, MI; sister Mary Ann (Randy) Bates of Taylor, MI; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Frankie Junior.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday December 20, 2017 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Interment will follow at Lenawee Hill Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh.  Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday December 19, 2017 at J.
