Wilma J. Marvin

Wilma J. Marvin, age 96, of Adrian, MI, passed away June 2, 2023, at Lenawee County Medical Care Facility with her daughter & daughter in law by her side. She was born August 6, 1926, in Clayton, MI, the daughter of Virgil & Clara (Harrington) Brockway. On November 10, 1951, she married, James C. Marvin, who preceded her in death on January 15, 2019.  Wilma graduated from Clayton High School. She retired from Drager Middle School cafeteria on July 1, 1988. Wilma attended the First United Methodist Church in Adrian, MI. She enjoyed going camping with her husband and family for many years. Wilma loved watching sports on TV, especially her Detroit Tigers and Michigan Wolverine football. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles.  She is survived by one son, Larry (Sandra) Marvin of Adrian, one daughter, Nancy (Paul) Mattausch of Naples, FL; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband James Marvin, she was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil & Clara Brockway; four brothers; four sisters; and one great grandson, Tiernan Mattausch.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 8, 2023, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Adrian, MI. Visitation will also be on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee or to the Adrian First United Methodist Church. www.PurseFuneralHome.com
