Walter Raymond Vogel, Sr.

Walter Raymond Vogel Sr., age 62, of Adrian MI, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021, with his children and brother/best friend by his side.  He was born September 4, 1958 in Ann Arbor, MI  to Robert Douglas Vogel Sr. and Patricia Jane (Boggs) Shotwell.  Walter enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He loved his job working for the City of Adrian.  Walter is survived by his children, Steven (Stephanie) Vogel of Lake Isabella, MI, Janette (Dan) Beebe of Weidman MI, and Tabitha (Dustin) Vogel of Jerome MI; siblings, Kathleen (Randall) Hoover of Jackson, Doug (Debby) Vogel of Tecumseh MI, Rebecca Vogel of Adrian MI, and Bill Shotwell of Trenton MI; 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many others that he considered family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Walter Raymond Vogel Jr.   Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral home in Adrian, MI.   Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday September 11, 2021. Following the service, there will be a procession to Hillside Cemetery in Addison, MI where he will be laid to rest with his son.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made directly to the funeral home to help cover expenses.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
