Vivian Joyce Grady

Vivian Joyce Grady, age 90, of Adrian, MI, passed away, September 8, 2023.  She was born June 20, 1933, in Adrian, MI, the daughter of Oscar & Edith (Lehr) Butler. On May 2, 1967, she married James Grady Sr., he preceded her in death in 1990.  Vivian gave her heart to the The Lord and was saved in 1967 and served The Lord ever since. She was a member of Bible Missionary Church where she served various offices. Vivian was given the gift of writing heartfelt song lyrics and poems.  Vivian is survived by her children, Vicki (Dallas) Cantu, Lisa (Rodney) Shaw and Jared (Krissy Zeipekis) Grady; twelve grandchildren, Chris Hayes, Shane (Jess) Hazelwood, Michael Cantu, Jamie Grady, Nikki Grady, Scott (Ashley) Grady, Amanda (Ryan) Fewless, Destiny Shaw, Andrew (Sarah) Grady, Brianna Bruce, Rileigh Grady and Kaelynn Grady; fifteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Jeri Evans and Nondice Cox; one brother, Oscar "Tim" (Jean) Butler; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband James Sr., she was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Keith in infancy and James Grady Jr.; great-granddaughter, Lillie Ann; one brother in law, Marvin Cox; and dear and best friend of 60 years, Maggie Yielding.  Viewing & Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.  Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral, 2959 N.
