Virgil H. Slover, age 71, of Tecumseh, MI, July 16, 2019. He was born November 18, 1947, in Chicago, IL, the son of Virgil & Dorothy (Brown) Slover. On July 23, 1971, he married Shirley Pike, she survives. Virgil retired from the U.S. Army after over 20 years of service. Following his retirement from the U.S. Army, he then worked at Pendelton Prison in Pendelton, IN, retiring after 20 years. In addition to his wife, Shirley Slover, he is survived by his sons, Christopher Slover, Gregory Slover, Kevin Slover and Jeffrey Slover, grandson, Keeyote Slover, one sister, Ellen (Frank) Horton, one brother, Robert Slover and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael Slover and two brothers, Bill and Charles. Memorial Services will be held 6:00 PM Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at Bridge Baptist Church, 112 E. Church Street, Clinton, MI 49236, with Pastor Ron Kramarczyk. Military Honors will follow and be performed by the Michigan Army National Guard Honor Guard.
