Vincent Rodriguez

Vincent Rodriguez, age 87, went to be with The Lord on May 10, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born July 18, 1935, in Lockhart, TX, the son of Antonio & Maria Rodriguez. On August 19, 1962, he married Elvira Vallejo and she preceded him in death on May 8, 2001. Vincent was father to Abbie, Ruben, Jonathan, Jeremias and James.  He retired from Tecumseh Products in the Fall of 2000. For several years before he passed, Vincent served in various ministries at his church, New Day Baptist Church / Iglesia Bautista Nuevo Dia, the Men's Bible Study at Christian Mission in Adrian, he also supported other ministries and missions in the United States & Mexico and volunteered for Salvation Army during the Christmas Season as a bell ringer.  Vincent is survived by his six children, Connie (Jimmy) Villegas, Abigail (Ismael) Sanchez, Ruben Rodriguez, Jonathan (Gina) Rodriguez, Jeremias Rodriguez and James (Susan) Rodriguez; his grandchildren, Ben (Jennifer), Alisa (Angel), Jessica (RJ), Jonathan, Alyssa, Alexis, David (Hannah), Lucas (Emma), Alexandra (Rodrigo), Zachary, Briana, Ariel (Kennedy), Ashley, Corina, Samantha, Jose (Wendy) and Bergen (Andrew); 18 great grandchildren; three siblings, Aurelia Martinez, Julian (Anita) Rodriguez and Victoria Turnini; and many nieces & nephews.  In addition to his wife Elvira, he was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio & Maria Rodriguez and siblings, Sostenes Rodriguez, Refugia Hernandez, Refugia Salas, Raquel Reyes and Hortencia Rodriguez.  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, May 19, 2023 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian, MI. Viewing & Visitation will be on Thursday May 18, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and also on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at J.
