Vicky Sanchez (Aranda) Gonzalez

TECUMSEH - Vicky Sanchez (Aranda) Gonzalez passed away peacefully at her home with her children by her side, on April 15, 2021 following a courageous battle with cancer. Vicky was born in Adrian, Michigan on July 28, 1949 to the parents of Casimiro and Petra Aranda. On February 7, 1970, Vicky married Eugenio Gonzalez, Jr.  Vicky worked at General Motors for 30 years before retiring in 2005. Her most prized job was that of “mom” and “nana”. The thing that brought her the most joy in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren, large extended family, and close friends. She enjoyed attending the sporting events of her grandchildren, working in her yard, and spreading a little kindness to those in need. She will be missed for her kind and giving spirit, as well as her positive outlook on life. Her legacy will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and the memories that her family and friends hold dear to their hearts. Surviving family members include: Her mother: Petra Aranda. Brothers: Lodi (Elsie) Aranda, Mel Aranda, Santos Aranda, Ted (Anna) Aranda, Casey Aranda. Sisters: The late Lucy (Paul) Solis, Stella Guerrero. Children: Jason Gonzalez, Amanda Gonzalez. Grandchildren: Dario Gauna, Justine Gauna, Belicia Gonzalez. Great-Granddaughter: Laylani Gauna. Former Husband: Eugenio Gonzalez Jr. Former Daughter-In-Law: Rebecca Gonzalez, several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her father, Casimiro Aranda, sister, Lucy Solis, and grandson, Isaiah Gonzalez. Funeral Mass will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 506 N. Union Street, Tecumseh, MI, with Fr. Dan Wheeler presiding. Viewing & Visitation will be on Monday, April 19, 2021, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Vigil Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N.
