Timothy M. Isom

Timothy M. Isom, age 72, of Adrian, MI passed away, August 17, 2022.  He was born February 9, 1950, to Manson C. Isom & Opal B. (Green) Isom, in Russellville, Alabama. Tim was in the U.S. Navy from 1968 - 1972. Tim was on the USS Saratoga during the Vietnam War. On April 30, 1971, he married Amorette Jean Phillips at Faith Baptist Church in Cuthbert, GA. They were married 51 years. Tim attended Manitou Road Baptist Church.  Tim retired in 2002 from Ford Motor Company, Saline Plant after 30 years. Tim & Jean were blessed with two sons, Michael T. Isom of Adrian, and James C. Isom and his wife Crystal of Adrian; three grandchildren, Jacalyn Isom of Adrian, Rylin & Tyler Isom of Adrian; and one brother, Toney Kay (Barbara) Isom of Adrian.  He was preceded in death by his parents.   Tim like to golf and go bowling. In his younger days he liked to play softball.  Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy Adrian, MI, with Pastor Mark Alber officiating. Viewing & Visitation will also be on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until the time of service at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral, Adrian, MI.  Military Honors will be performed by the Tecumseh American Legion & VFW Honor Guard Team.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
