Susan K. Tietsema Tilton (Oma)

Susan K. Tietsema Tilton (Oma), age 65, passed away August 3rd, losing her short battle with cancer. Sue spent her last moments with family near her side, at her home in Whitmore Lake, MI. Sue was born November 15th 1954 in Adrian, Ml to Donald and Alma Tietsema of Tecumseh, MI. She is survived by her loving husband Mike (Opa) of 23 years; three daughters Gail Harris, Kristy Zochowski and Valerie Johnson; three Stepdaughters Michelle Deer, Jennifer Tilton, Melissa Tilton; fifteen grandchildren Kailey, Alexis, Emma, Benjamin, Patrick, Natalie, Kiarah, Jaeda, Madison, Madysn, Andrew, Makenna, Connor, Saharra and Khaleseya; two older brothers Tim & Gary and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her younger brother Don Jr. Sue obtained an associate degree in Radiography and made a career for herself as a certified MRI Technician. She was also an active, lifelong member of the New Apostolic Church and attended her local congregation in Ann Arbor, MI. Sue's whole world revolved around her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She spent her time generously inviting others into her life and giving love and support in any way she could. She was very active in the New Apostolic Church where she touched the lives of many. If you would like to make a Memorial contribution in her name, the family would like it to be made to the New Apostolic Church located at 4844 Jackson Rd. Ann Arbor, MI 48103. A memorial service will be held for extended family members only on Saturday, August 22nd at 11:00 am. For everyone else, the service will be streamed online through YouTube starting at 10:40am.
