Susan A. McCarty

Susan Aileen McCarty, age 67, of Adrian, MI, passed away, August 5, 2022.  She was born May 30, 1955, in Tecumseh, MI, the daughter of Luther & Nerissa (Strand) McCarty.  Susie loved cooking and gardening. She was always up for a good time whether it was going dancing or thrift shopping. Susie especially enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren and her puppy Shelby.  She is survived by her children, Chris (Brooke Morawski) McCarty, Kari (Woody) Woodcock, Corine Campbell and Katie (Ray) Burnette; nine grandchildren, Carissa, Ellie, Reagan, Nicholas, Kilie, Dayashia, Dameterius, Mary and Alexander; four great grandchildren; her siblings, Roxie Osburn, Jeane Sears, Vickie (Mark) Jedele, Gary (Dee) McCarty, Nancy McCarty, Luther "Edward" McCarty, Caroline Clark, Linda Berry, & Lanora Bull; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther McCarty and Nerissa Brown; step-father, Merrill Brown; two brothers, Gerald "Boo" McCarty and Tommy McCarty; two brothers in law, Bill Osburn and Rod Sears; and niece, Lisa Osburn.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 11, 2022 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Pastor Jamie Driskell officiatingViewing & Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and also on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at J.
