Sue Clay Britton, age 74, of Britton, born October 5, 1946, went home to be with the Lord, January 14, 2021. She was preceded in death by; her mother, Edna Williams; father, Otis Clay; sisters, Mary Clay Gayheart and Helen Clay Williams; and nephews, James Clay Jr. and Michael Clay. She was a member of the Ypsilanti Baptist Temple for over thirty years and loved the Lord and her family. She was a kind and loving person who enjoyed music, writing songs for the Lord, and singing in church. She wrote most of the songs on the CD that she made with her sisters-in-law, Delilah and Debi Clay. She also enjoyed playing dominos and cards with family and friends. She is survived by; her son Joseph Paul Britton (Tess); sister, Jeni Williams; and brothers, Donald, James Arnold and Samuel Clay; grandson, Logan Wysko; and ten nieces, eight nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral Services will be 1:00 P. M. Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Rev. James Clay officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Petersburg. Visitation will be 11:00 A. M. to 1::00 P. M. preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, money donations can be sent to James A. Clay to be used toward funeral expenses.
