Steven John Cook died on Friday August 20, 2021, at Lynwood Manor Medical Facility in Adrian, Michigan. He was 71 years of age. Steven was born in Saginaw, Michigan on November 30, 1949, to Charles M. Cook and Evelyn Dora Bershing. Steven grew up in Ypsilanti, Michigan and graduated from Ypsilanti High School in 1968 and attended Eastern Michigan University. He enlisted in the US Army in 1969 and served until 1971. Steven had many interests; he had a big interest in cars and was a devoted fan of the Grand Prix races. He followed the races diligently and knew about most of the drivers. He liked architecture and that led him into construction. He worked in the construction field with his father. His favorite hobby was building furniture. He also worked in auto sales and selling building products for many years. He loved music, especially jazz, and had hundreds of tapes. Personally, he was very well liked because of his humor. He was very charming, kind, and polite. Steve was a very family-oriented person, and loved his sibling, parents, and other family members. He leaves behind his father, sister Cathleen Knoll, niece and nephew Alexandra and Joshua Knoll, brother-in-law Thom Knoll, and son Zach. Steve’s mother is deceased. Steve has requested cremation; no service is planned now but perhaps at a later date.
