Stephen K. Williams

Stephen K. Williams, age 66, of Adrian, Michigan, passed away at home on May 20, 2026. He was born on March 2, 1960, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, to Ermal and Edith (Snavely) Williams.  Stephen graduated from Adrian High School and went on to become a hardworking and skilled painter, eventually owning and operating his own painting company for many years. He took pride in his work and in the life he built through determination, grit, and dedication.  Above all else, Stephen deeply loved his family. He cherished his children and grandchildren and found great joy in spending time with them. He also adored his beloved dogs, Izzy and Sargent Bohdi, who were faithful companions and brought him comfort and happiness.  Stephen enjoyed the simple pleasures in life — working on his Jeep, riding his Harley, and cheering on the Detroit Lions year after year, always believing a Super Bowl win was still possible. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his loyalty to those he loved, and the many memories he leaves behind with family and friends.  He is survived by his children, Jeremy Nofzinger, Ashley Williams, and Esteban Williams; five grandchildren, Trevor Nofzinger, Skylar Nofzinger, Anndraya Shedd, Anthony Shedd, and London Bryan; four brothers, John (Cissy) Williams, Doug Williams, Joe Williams, and Willy Williams; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ermal and Edith Williams; his daughter, Chelsea Williams; his sister, Theresa Williams; and his nephew, Derek Williams.  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Highway, Adrian, MI, with Rev. William VanValkenburg officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the Purse Funeral Home in Adrian, MI.  He will be deeply missed and forever loved.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
