Sharon Lou (Baird) Bracey

Sharon Lou Bracey, age 71, of Adrian passed away on October 24, 2020. Sharon was born on December 18, 1948 to Chester and Maye (Cass) Baird. Her childhood was spent in Blissfield. She then married and raised her three children in Saline. Sharon divorced and moved to San Diego, California. She resided there and then moved to Aurora, Colorado. After 20 years plus, Sharon moved back to Adrian to be with her family. Sharon worked for Renaissance Community Homes in Adrian. When she retired, spending time with her friends and family became her favorite past time. Sharon attended church events, birthday parties, graduation parties, Sunday family dinners, grandchildren’s sports events, and helping take care of her younger great-grandchildren. Sharon’s presence and love will be deeply missed by her daughter, Kimberley (David) Smith,of Saline, her son, Raymond (Mary) Bracey II, of Brooklyn, her fifteen grandchildren, her twenty-eight great-grandchildren, her sister, Carolyn Norman, of Adrian, sister in law Janice Baird, of Blissfield, and many family and friends. Sharon was preceded in death and is now reunited with her son Timothy James Leary, Jr., her parents, her children’s fathers, Timothy James Leary and Raymond Lee Bracey, her brother Melvin Baird, her sister Shirley Reiner, her great niece Heidi Jo Strouse, and her great grandson Adam Ray Sell. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 1, 2020 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy., Adrian. Visitation will be 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Funeral service will immediately follow at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
