Scott DeWitt Parish, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at home surrounded by his three children. He was born March 13, 1959 in Bixby Hospital to Robert and Harriet Parish. He grew up and attended Adrian Public Schools. He enlisted in the military at age 20. Growing up in Adrian, Scott played Summer League Baseball at Island Park. He also played a friend of Helen Keller’s in the play “The Miracle Worker” at the Croswell Opera House. He was a very talented artist in the area of Drawing. He drew and created his own characters. Scott is survived by children: One daughter, Nyasha Torres and 4 Sons, Scott Torres, Christopher Torres (Adrian), Tyler (Michigan) and Michael (Texas)S; his sisters, Robin Parish (Walter Tolfree) (Portage) and Debra Parish Spann (Florida), his brother, Gregory Parish (Regina (Reggie) Parish) (Adrian) along with a host of Aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his three beautiful grand-daughters: Anahliya Torres, Khaliya Torres of Morenci and Ariyana Perez of Adrian. Scott was deeply loved and admired by his entire family. Scott was preceded in death by his wife, Tina Torres Parish; his and Tina’s son, Joshua Torres; his brother-in-law Jessie Torres; his mother Harriet Carter Parish and father, Robert Parish. Scott loved his family and friends along with his community very much. He was loved by all of those who have known him. There will be private service for Scott in the upcoming week - family members only. Contributions can be made to the Daily Bread in Adrian.
