Sarah Elizabeth "Beth" Lane

Sarah Elizabeth "Beth" Lane, age 87, of Adrian, MI, passed away July 16, 2023, at home under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. She was born March 21, 1936, in Adrian, MI, the daughter of Melvin & Sarah (Rutherford) Beauchamp. On May 26, 1953, she married Lester Lane, he preceded her in death on May 6, 2010.  Sarah worked as a clerk in the treasurer's for the City of Adrian for twenty four years. She loved traveling and camping with her husband Les, following their retirement. Together they traveled to 49 states including Canada. Sarah loved sewing and spending time with her children & grandchildren.  She is survived by her son, Michael (Connie) Lane; five grandchildren, Michael Scott Lane (Jennifer), Sarah (Jermaine) Ford, Adam (Kelly) Lane, Jennifer (Bradley) Carpenter and Matthew Lane; ten great grandchildren, Anthony, Emily, Nicholas, Dempsey, Dru, Alexis, Shelby, Sydney, Noel and Jonah; and two great great granddaughters, Kaela and Harlee.  In addition to her husband, Lester Lane, she was preceded in death by one son, Mark Lester Lane; three brothers, Joshua Beauchamp. John Lawrence Beauchamp and James Beauchamp.  Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Adrian, MI. Viewing & Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.
