Samuel Compton

Samuel Compton, age 82, of Adrian, MI, passed away January 15, 2021.  He was born August 22, 1938, in Yonkers, New York, the son of Jack & Annie Compton. Samuel was a chemist at Wacker Silicone from November 1965 until he retired in 1998. Following retirement he stayed on and eventually departed in 2001.  He is survived by his children, Susan (Donald) Jahn of Sunberg, MN and Timothy F. (Veronica) Compton of Midlothian, VA, former wife and friend, Linda Cox Compton of Greenville, NC; four grandchildren, Sarah Jahn, Laurel Jahn, Isabel Compton and Analisa Compton and two nephews, John A. Compton & Brian Compton. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David L. Compton; and brother, John Michael Compton.  Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 22, 2021, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Pastor Michael Goble officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh, MI.
