Roger Dale Slone

Roger Dale Slone, age 67, of Tecumseh, MI, passed away, October 23, 2025, at home with his family.  He was born May 28, 1958, in Martin, KY, the son of Burton & Olive (Hall) Slone.  On May 4, 1991, he married Sandra Tuggle in Taylor, MI, she survives.  Roger retired from General Motors after 32 years of service.  He retired from the Willow Run / Powertrain Ypsilanti Plant, where he made many lifelong friends.  Roger enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.  He liked taking care of his chickens and going camping with his wife.  Roger was generous, loving & witty.  He will be deeply missed by everyone in his life.  In addition to his wife, Sandra Slone, he is survived by his children, Leslie (Shawn) McCarthy, Kyle (Chelsea) Slone and Hannah (Peter) Potrykus; six grandchildren, Tegan, Ian, Fallon, Rylee, Jonah and Jaxon; his siblings, Burton Jr. (Joy) Slone, Lou (Mike) Smith, Teresa (Earl) Rice and Lisa Gibson; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents,  Burton Sr. & Olive Slone; one daughter, Ashley Orme; and one son, Christopher Slone.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI.  Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh.  Viewing & Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and also on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
