Robert "Bob" Lambes

Robert “Bob” Lambes age 87, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 16th, 2020 in the comfort of his own home under hospice care after a long battle with dementia. He was born on March 28th, 1932 to James Lambes and Gladys Bowen in Kenmore, Ohio. Proceeding Bob in death are his parents, in-laws, son-Mike, daughter-Jackie, brothers-Ed and Al, sisters-Hilda “Sis” and Nancy. Bob is survived by his wife of nearly 59 years, Sharon, sons-Bob (Marlene), Larry (Robin), and John (Denise), Daughter Becky, grandchildren-Ryan, Nicole (Dale), Eric, Nicholas (Mariah), Nathan (Rachel), Jonathan (Emiley), Allie (Joran), Rachel (Jake), Toni, Ethan, Reba (Dylan), Troy, Cory, and Jared (Kara), 19 great-grandchildren, brothers- Jim (Audrey), Bill, Ron (Bonnie), sisters- Ruby (Okey), and Shirley (Jim), as well as numerous nephews & nieces. Bob was a member of Gateway Community Church and Irish Hills Community church throughout his lifetime. He was a shining example of what it was to be a true Christian. Bob was also well known throughout the community of Onsted for his kindness & as several have said for, “being willing to give you the very last shirt of his back.” Beyond his devotion to his Church & his community, he was fiercely devoted to his family. Bob was the best husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and uncle anyone could ask for. He made a point to make sure everyone knew just how much they were loved. Bob will be terribly missed by all who knew him, but they rest in the comfort that they will meet him again one day in heaven. A memorial for Bob will be held at Irish Hills Community Church in Onsted, Michigan on March 22nd, 2020 at 3pm.
