Richard Chiles Tucker, 78, of Manchester, Michigan, passed away on June 26, 2022, at home. Richard was born on October 24, 1943, to Sarah Catherine Chiles and Benjamin Frank Tucker in Detroit, Michigan. After Richard graduated from Clarenceville High School in 1961. Richard worked as a stone mason for over 50 years while also pursuing a successful art career. Richard’s art started with wood carving and continued with painting, sculpture and teaching at Eastern Michigan University where he had achieved his master’s degree. One of his loves in life was his home in Manchester, Michigan – Richard spent many years on the detailed restoration of his home.
Richard was predeceased by Michael (brother); Tommy (brother); Karen (his second wife); and Linda Wolkow (his first wife). He is survived by Jerry Tucker (brother) of Liberty, KY; Emily (Jimi Collins) Tucker (daughter) of Manchester, MI; Jennifer (Claude) Crumb (daughter) of Osseo, MI; grandchildren - Amber Crumb, Tim Crumb, David Crumb, Anthony Crumb, and Emma Crumb; great-grandchild – Sebastian Bentz; and granddog - Chase.
