Richard Allen Powers

Richard Allen Powers, age 78, of Adrian, MI, passed away, October 12, 2021.  He was born February 6, 1943, in Adrian, MI, the son of William & Frances (Snead) Powers. On July 2, 1988, he married Carol Skampo, she survives. Richard was retired from the Tecumseh Products Company after over 40 years of service. He loved to travel and go camping.  In addition to his wife Carol Powers, he is survived by his step-children; Katherine (Joe) Alaniz, Kenneth Braman, Kevin Braman and Larry Braman Jr.; four grandchildren, Cassandra Black, Christopher Helka, Ashley Newell and Adam Newell; two great grandchildren, Hope Black and Malachi Barnhouse; one brother, David Powers; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Frances Powers; two brothers, Eddie Powers and Robert Powers; one sister, Ann Tripp; and grandson, Scott Jacob Newell.  Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 22, 2021, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. (WATCH LIVE LINK) Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh, MI.
