Richard R. Lopez

Richard R. Lopez, age 79, of Tecumseh, MI, passed away July 11, 2021 at Toledo Hospital.  He was born February 7,1942 the son of Abelardo and Maria Lopez.  He married Nancy Jane Beck on May 6,1967 and she survives.  Rick graduated high school from Adrian Catholic Central in 1960 and served in the US Army.  He was a carpenter and trained race horses.  Rick is survived by his wife, Jane; son, Gus Lopez; and daughter, Lora (Indalecio) Arriaga; honorary grandkids, Mistika Young and Allan Gonzalez; one brother, Augustine Lopez; and one sister, Bertha Lopez; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Raul and Larry and one sister, Grace.  Memorial Services will be held 2:30 PM Saturday, July 17, 2021, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Fr. Mike Newman presiding. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the J.
