Richard W. Ehnis

Richard W. Ehnis, 76, of Adrian, died Tuesday June 1, 2021.  He was born October 6, 1944 to Waldo and Lelia Ehnis in Kalamazoo. He attended and graduated from Clinton High School in 1962.  Richard graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in 1966 and earned his PHD in Psychology from New York University in 1973. He practiced in Brooklyn, NY until 1983 when he moved to Michigan and practiced in Hillsdale and Adrian until his retirement in 2017. Richard is survived by his brothers Robert (Wendy) of Mason and Bill (Shirley) of Adrian, nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Anne Slusher. Cremation has taken place through Purse Funeral Home and no formal services are planned. Donations in Richard’s honor may be made to the Adrian Symphony Orchestra, The Ives Road Fen or the donor’s choice.
