Richard "Rick" Allan Brockway

Richard (Rick) Allan Brockway, age 74, of Sand Creek, MI passed away on December 22, 2024 at the University of Toledo Hospital.  Rick was born in Adrian, MI to Merle and Dorothy Brockway on November 15, 1951. Rick attended school at Sand Creek Community Schools. Rick worked as a service technician and installer for AAA Appliances for 20 years in Tampa, FL. Rick also enjoyed spending time with his family, collecting vintage farm equipment, hunting, camping, and spending time outdoors. Rick is survived by his son, Matthew (Charlene) Brockway; daughter Michelle (Brian McClain) Brockway; grandchildren Caitlynn Brockway, Caleb Brockway Leon, Zachary Brockway, Raina Walters, and Noah Walters, as well as sister Cathy Sanford and brother David (Judy) Brockway. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Diane and Mary Lou, and daughter Burnice Brockway.  J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home has handled his cremation. In lieu of flowers or arrangements, memorial donations may be made to The American Red Cross or American Cancer Society. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. William Decker, The Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital, and The University of Toledo Hospital.
