Rev. Alejandro Q. Ramirez, age 94, of Adrian, MI, went to be with The Lord on, June 24, 2021. He was born February 3, 1927, in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico, the son of Baldomero & Paula (Quintero) Ramirez. He married Engracia Barron in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and together they enjoyed 70 years of marriage. Alejandro was dedicated to serving The Lord and retired as the Ordained Bishop of the Spanish Church of God in Adrian, MI and Fostoria, OH. He also worked as a contractor in Mexico, building churches, schools, the Holiday Inn and other hotels. Alejandro helped construct the Border Entrance from Brownsville, TX to Matamoros, Mexico. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his wife of 70 years Engracia Ramirez; he is survived by his children, Elvia (Rev. Jose Luis) Martinez, Bertha (Francisco) De La Rosa, Alejandro (Carmen) Ramirez, Fernando Ramirez, Ministers Martha (Ricardo) Gonzalez, Maria Teresa (Jehu) Gomez, Sara E. (Michael) Guinn, Mary Elena Ramirez and Raquel (Scott) Schoonover; 35 grandchildren and 61 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Baldomero & Paula Ramirez; daughter, Sara Ramirez; and two brothers, Nieves Ramirez and Manuel Ramirez. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI with Rev.
