Raymond D. Grubbs, Sr.

Raymond D. Grubbs, Sr.,  age 76, of West Unity, OH, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022, surrounded by all of his family who were present. He was born June 20, 1945, in Adrian, MI, the son of Lloyd & Iola (Viers) Grubbs.  He worked for Ferro Corp. in Stryker, OH, for 25 years. Ray's hobbies were spending time with his family, drawing, making things out of wood and going to the casino.  He is survived by his wife, Lucille Grubbs; his children, Rod Risner, Todd (Melissa) Risner, Ray D. Grubbs Jr., Brandi Grubbs and Jennifer Skeels; his grandchildren, Vannessa, Dakota, Little Rodney, Christian, Tessa, Treven, Brycen, Tashery, Dylan, Philip and Robert; many great grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley (Stewart) Risner.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd & Iola Grubbs; and siblings, Sharon, Wilma, Donna, Janet, Bill and Jim.  Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, May 12, 2022, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with George Roig officiating. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian, MI. Viewing & Visitation will also be on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.
