Philip W. Wilson

Philip W. Wilson, age 61, of Manchester, passed away September 26, 2020. Phil was born February 18, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan the son of William and Eleanor Wilson . They preceded him in death. Philip graduated in 1985 from Eastern Michigan University with a  B.S.degree and in 1995 a Masters degree in psychology .Phil enjoyed music playing the guitar, piano and collecting albums. He loved the outdoors - hiking, fishing, stargazing, gardening and also  his pets, Lion, Babe. Sugar and Jack. In his younger years he enjoyed traveling the world and the country. Phil is survived by his wife,  Dianna; sons, William and Philip; sister, Karen (Douglas) Kunka and nephews, Jacob and Zachary. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in the Spring. Addiction is neither a disease nor a moral failure.  At its core, addiction is a coping mechanism - an attempt to regulate our nervous system - with psychological and physiological consequences.
