Paulette Ann (Sech) Moran

Paulette Ann Moran (Sech) passed away on April 19, 2026. She was born on April 14, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, to Detroit Battalion Chief William Sech and Pauline Sech (Ondreyka). Paulette was known for her strength, determination, and independence. She found joy in reading, cooking, and baking, and remained committed to learning throughout her life. She earned an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Applied Science from Macomb Community College, a Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University, and a Master of Library Science from Wayne State University. She is survived by her three daughters: Stacey Moran (Brad Hubbard), Shannon Moran, and Stephanie Taylor (Tyler Taylor); her two beloved granddaughters, Lucy Moran and Lilli Taylor; her sister, Susan LaPorte (James LaPorte); and several nieces and nephews.  Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, William and Pauline Sech; her sister, Diane Elmore; her son-in-law, Brad Hubbard; and her former husband, Patrick Moran.  In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you take a moment to hug your loved ones, eat that chocolate chip cookie, or take a walk and soak in nature for a moment, an hour, or a day.
