Norman O. Kirk

Norman O. Kirk, age 86, of Tecumseh, passed away unexpectedly August 17, 2019 at home. He was born June 18, 1933 in Boyd County, KY, the son of Mason and Helen (Riggs) Kirk. On July 19, 1969 he married Bonnie E. Koch at St. Marks Lutheran Church, Cleveland, OH. She survives. Norman was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He was retired from Rolled Alloys, Temperance, MI with 35 years of service.  In addition to his wife Bonnie, of 50 years, Norman is survived by his children, Tina (Tim) Cuolahan, Cynthia Moore, Sheila (Roland) Shuch, Rebecca (Kenneth) Baker, Norman H. (Liz) Kirk, and Brenda Kirk; 16 grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and two grandsons, Corey Ackley and Nicholas Cuolahan. Funeral services will be held 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with Rev. Eric Hickman officiating.  Military Honors will be conducted by Tecumseh American Legion Post #34 and Tecumseh VFW Post #4187 Funeral Honors Team. Visitation will also take place Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service.
