Michael Charles Putman

Michael Charles Putman age 67 of Onsted, Michigan passed away unexpectedly at home on the morning of November 7, 2022 He was born at Beyer Memorial Hospital in Ypsilanti, Michigan on August 13, 1954, the son of Richard and Rita (Landers) Putman. On October 4,1982 he married the love of his life Lynn Rae (Osmond). Their favorite scripture they quoted regularly regularly was “I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me.” (Phillipines 4:13) Mike worked as a Machine Operator/Technician at General Motors, Willow Run Hyrdramatic/Powertrain plant in Ypsilanti, Michigan and was a member of GMs union Local 735 until he retired in 2003. Mike enjoyed gardening, cooking, yearly family camping trips, hunting, and spending as much time as possible fishing with family and friends. He also loved gatherings and picnics with his family and church family in which to him was one and the same. Michael was preceded in death by his baby sister Lynn Renee Putman, his brother Timothy Putman, and his parents Richard and Rita Putman. Michael is survived by his wife Lynn Rae Putman.  Siblings - Pat (Marsha) Putman, Jeanene (James) Lyson, Cheryl (Kerry) Evard, and Marilyn Throne. Children - Tracy Messner, Henry (Beth) Messner, Michael (Michelle) Putman Jr., Regina (Charles) Dick, Leon (Heidi) Messner, Richard (Rachel) Putman, Patrick (ReAnn) Putman, Timothy (Ashley) Putman, Joshua (Tawney) Putman. Grandchildren - Dakota & Alyssa Wampler, Mathew Messner, Falisha & Shane Mathews, Ashlee Dick, AJ & Bella Messner, Isabella & Richard Putman, Donovin Peterson, Jayden,Cameron, Austin, & Bryson Putman, Olivia Putman, Josh & Caleb Putman, and many loving nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Tecumseh Assembly of God  located at 1080 E. Chicago Blvd. Tecumseh, Michigan 49286 on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 2:00 pm. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers to make donations payable to Lynn Rae Putman to help cover unexpected costs during this difficult time.
