Michael Lee Hunter

Michael Lee Hunter, age 58, of Adrian, MI, passed away, February 5, 2022, at his home. He was born September 8, 1963, in Tecumseh, MI, the son of William & Alice (Snyder) Hunter. On November 18, 2016, he married Sheila Proffitt, she survives.  Michael worked as a self-employed carpenter. He loved riding his motorcycle and working on his 1963 panel wagon.
In addition to his wife Sheila, he is survived by one son, Christopher Davenport; step children, David, Lisa, Nikki, Brittany, Harley, Jordan and Paige; numerous grandchildren; his mother, Alice Hunter; his siblings, Dorothy (Robbie) Hunter, William Hunter, Ed (Chrisette) Hunter and Linda (Chris) Rumpf; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by her father, William Hunter; one brother, John Hunter; and one son, Michael William Hunter.  Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 12, 2022, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Burial will follow in Fairfield Cemetery. Viewing & Visitation will also be on Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of service at J.
