Michael Lee Getzen

Michael Lee Getzen, age 61, of Addison, MI, passed away unexpectedly, August 8, 2018.  He was born December 7, 1956, in Adrian, MI, the son of Mathew & Margaret (Wilson) Getzen. Mike loved Michigan Football & Tigers Baseball. He worked a combined twenty-five years as a Golf Course Superintendent at local Country Clubs. Mike loved golfing and spending time with his family and especially his grandkids.  He is survived by three sons, Matthew Getzen (Maggie Buck), Daniel Getzen (Courtney Schuette) and Dean Getzen (Carrie Ramey), his grandchildren, Kaleena, Ty, Nakona, Kaiden, Paisley and Kinsley, sister, Cheryl (Paul) Richardson, several nieces and nephews and longtime partner, Cathy Lucas.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Stephen Getzen.  Visitation will be on Sunday, August 12, 2018, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI.  Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, August 13, 2018, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI, with Rev.
