Michael W. "Boss Hoss" Downard

Michael W. "Boss Hoss" Downard, age 61, of Adrian, MI, passed away, July 21, 2023.  He was born May 12, 1962, in Adrian, MI, the son of Russell & Norma (Perkins) Downard. On June 22, 1985, he married Diann Fivecoat, she survives.  Mike was a graduate of Adrian High School, Class of 1980. He managed Adrian Fabricare Auto Wash for many years. Mike was an avid collector of Jim Beam Whiskey Decanters. In the mid 90's he started investing and restoring award winning pedal cars and antique toys. Later in his life he spent most of his time at "The Barn" mowing with his bad boy, gardening, and just having fun / parties. Mike was a BBQ fanatic, always trying to learn new recipes, building new smokers while checking on meat sales. He loved attending auctions and antique malls.  In addition to his wife, Diann Downard, he is survived by his children, Ryan (Jenn) Downard and Erin Wilson both of Adrian; grandson, Hayden; his granddaughter due in September, Lindsey; brother, Tim (Kim) Downard of Jackson; brother in law, David (Karen) Fivecoat; one niece, Ashley (Stan) Marshall; one nephew, James Fivecoat; four great nieces and nephews; two granddogs, Rosie and Gypsy; and his beloved rat terrier, Raven.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell & Norma Downard; his first wife, Carla Ray Poling; and a brother in infancy.  Viewing & Visitation will be on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at J.
