Michael “Spook” Carl Brosamer January 25, 1952 to June 23, 2021
Michael “Spook” Carl Brosamer was born January 25, 1952 in Charleston, South Carolina the son of Robert and Elizabeth (Baker) Brosamer. He married his loving wife Brenda (Rife) Brosamer on June 27, 1980 in Monroe, Michigan. Michael selflessly served in the Michigan National Guards 156th Signal Battalion for 21years. In 2003, when he was 51 years old he was deployed overseas to Operation Iraqi Freedom where he was known to his fellow solders as “Grand Pappy”. When Mike was home from the service he could often be found sitting in his garage with a beer in hand. Michael loved his family and always talked about how proud he was of them, he is survived by his wife, Brenda Brosamer, his children Blake (Laura) Brosamer and Janet (Phillip) Mueller, grandsons Collin Brosamer and Sawyer Brosamer. Siblings MaryBeth (Rick) Worcheck, David Brosamer, Kimberly Brosamer (Earl) Jenkins, Ken (Nancy) Brosamer, sister-in-law Pauline Brosamer, and brother-in-law David Malmquist. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Elizabeth Brosamer, brother Robert Brosamer and sister Patricia (Brosamer) Malmquist. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, June 27, 2021 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI with Visitation from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Military Honors will be performed by the Tecumseh American Legion & VFW Honor Guard Team at the Deerfield Cemetery following the funeral service. The family is inviting friends to join in a catered meal at 4:00 PM held at the VFW Post 6509 at 3977 Sylvania Petersburg Rd, Petersburg, Michigan 49270.
