Melvin Duren

Melvin Duren, age 68, of Tecumseh, MI, walked on, March 10, 2021, at The Toledo Hospital. He was born September 6, 1952, in Detroit, MI, the son of John & Ruth (Cornelius) Duren. On November 13, 2010, he married Catherine M. Ennis, she survives.  In addition to his wife Catherine M. Duren, he is survived by two sons, Melvin Duren II, and David Ellis Duren; daughter, Raven Alicia (Javon) Jackson; step-son, Jordan Reginald Sheffield; step-daughter, Kayla Marie Winters; grandchildren, Melvin III, Donvan, Tenaya S., Quinika, Ayinde, Amir, David II, London, Sariah, Javier Dominique, Aubree Maria, Joshua, Ash' Lee Kira- Renee, Aeryn Sun; Alliyah Marie, Julius Franklin Tyree, Ta' Lyn Monet'; seven brothers, Nate Duren, Gregory(Crystal) Duren, Clarence (Linda) Duren, Charlie (Sheryl) Duren, Raymond (Deborah) Duren, Larry (Sharon) Duren, John (Angelika) Duren Jr.; four sisters, Sandra (Clifford) Hardiman, Gerldine Johnson, Ruth Daniels, Katie (George) Hall, Toni Duren; step-mother, Ophelia Duren; and a host of nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas Duren; mother, Ruth (Cornelius) Duren; one brother, Henry Duren; and one sister, Phyllis Williams.  Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N.
