Our beloved Melissa (Mel) passed away peacefully on Monday July 25, 2022 at St. Joe's Mercy Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born September 17, 1988, in Monroe, MI.  Melissa was the most kind hearted, caring and thoughtful person you would ever know. She was extremely brave, strong, fierce and a protector of her family and friends to no end, especially her little girl Hannah. She most enjoyed spending time with family and hanging out with friends. Melissa was very fond of her caregivers during her time spent at her rehab facility after her car accident nearly 7 years ago. She really enjoyed the activities they always included her in.  Melissa will be dearly missed by all of her loved ones and will live on in our hearts forever. Rest in peace now our sweet Mel, we love you to the moon and back.  She is survived by her mother, Donna (Mark) Morgan; one daughter, Hannah Atkinson; one sister, Amy (Mike) Wojcik; nephew, Nathan Wojcik; aunts & uncles, Michelle (Dion) Gaiera, Tina (Pat) Iott, Keith (Lori) Tucker, Phillip Tucker, Joyce (Troy) Johnson, Cathy (Marvin) Boedeker, James (Dorothy) Sofka and Dianne (Pat) Cameron; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, David Tucker; two aunts, Margie Sembera and Paula Turner; uncle, Carroll Sembera; and grandparents, Clement & Christine Sofka, Darlene Spitaleri and David Tucker.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to J.
