Melissa M. Tate

Melissa M. Tate, age 48, of Adrian, MI, passed away, April 15, 2022, at Hospice of Lenawee Hospice Home. She was born March 28, 1974, in Rogers City, MI, the daughter of James "Dave" & Gloria (Sweet) Boozer. On June 13, 1993, she married James Tate in Adrian, MI, he survives.  Melissa was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Adrian, MI and also a member of the DAV auxiliary Unit Lenawee #20. She loved to ride horses and sell Mary Kay products. Melissa loved to go to the movie and watch movies with her family.  In addition to her husband, James Tate, she is survived by her mother, Gloria Boozer; two children, Shane Tate and Karrah Tate; two grandchildren, Hailey Tate and Lucas Pardee; one brother, David Allen; one sister, Kimberly (Ken) Stagman; three aunts; three uncles; and many cousins.  She was preceded in death by her father, James "Dave" Boozer; her grandparents; Raynor & Gladys Sweet and Clarence & Bertha Boozer; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 23, 2022, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Rev. Daryl Etheridge officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Adrian, MI.
