Mary Jane Daly

Mary Jane Daly, age 94, of Brooklyn, MI, passed away, August 23, 2023, at home with her family under hospice.  She was born May 9, 1929, in Adrian, MI, the daughter of Lawrence & Onalee (Newton) Mills.  Mary Jane was a graduate of Adrian High School, Class of 1947.  In 1948, she married Dean Daly, he preceded her in death in 1995.  She worked for Underwood Chevrolet as their Secretary / Treasurer for sixty-two years.  Mary Jane was a member of St. Joseph Shrine Church in Brooklyn where she served on the church council and numerous committees.   She was a 4H leader for many years.  She is survived by her children, Luonne Daly, Karla (Geoff) Scully and special son, Terrance (Starr) Brighton; grandchildren,, Dean (Kira) LaVigne Nancy (Jason Yuen) Scully, Geoffrey (Shelby) Scully, Christopher Brighton, Amber (JJ) Topps and Kayla (Shawn) Puckett; great grandchildren, Mason, Nevaeh, Carter, Camden, Cash, Conley, Caspian, Ivy, Evan, Emma, Robert, Cole and Abby.  In addition to her husband Dean, she was preceded in death by her parents; great grandson, Nathaniel; and brother, Dean Mills.  A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 23, 2023, at The Thilo's, 15950 Sheridan Rd.
