Martin Cavazos Obituary

Martin Cavazos, age 50, of Adrian, MI, passed away on January 26, 2022, at Promedica Hickman Hospital. He was born August 12, 1971 in Elk Grove Village, Illinois to parents Oscar and Dorothy (Villarreal) Cavazos. Martin attended Adrian High School. Martin worked as a Commercial Integrated Pest Management Technician. Although a very unique industry to work in he absolutely loved his work.  For those that knew Martin knew he had a smile that could light up a room. His sense of humor, his contagious laugh, silliness and the ability to make other people laugh will long be remembered and cherished by family and friends. Martin had such an adventurous spirit about him. He loved to travel and try new things and was always planning the next weekend adventure. When he would take the time to relax you could always find him on the golf course or having a drink with his favorite cigar. Whether working or relaxing there was always time for music. It truly was a piece of his heart. Martin had a been a DJ for over 25 years, DJing throughout Michigan, Ohio and even as far as Nashville. Through music he has touched the lives of so many people, whether it was a wedding, birthday party, family get together or at the club. It made his heart happy to see people enjoy not only his craft but the music itself. There wasn’t a day that went by that he didn’t listen to music, but a guarantee at night that he couldn’t sleep without listening to Bob Marley.  Martin was preceded in death by his father Oscar Cavazos, brother Billy Cavazos and nephew Brandon Cavazos.  Martin is survived by his one true love, wife Jacqueline Cavazos. Martin is survived by his children, grandchildren and a blended family that he loved with all of his heart. He is survived by daughter Priscilla (Sean) Garcia parents of Sean Jr, Gabryella, and Mercyano. He is survived by son Martin Cavazos parent with Tess Crawford to Jayceon Cavazos. Jayceon referred to Martin as LoLo. He will always be LoLo’s buddy. Tess would go on to add Niya and Zeinah to his blended family. Martin would later parent Lincoln Cavazos with Breanna Vallejo. Breanna came into the family bringing another son Aiden. Martin was grandpa or LoLo to all of the kids. All of his kids and grandkids held a special place in his heart. Martin is also survived by his mother Dorothy Cavazos, his sister Patty Cavazos, his brother Oscar Cavazos and sister Lisa(Daniel) DeLaGarza. Martin had a very extended family and was survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and so many others that meant the world to him. Besides his children and grandchildren Martin left behind some very special people that meant the world to him. Martin is also survived by his nephew Austin Cavazos who was like a son to him, his niece Heather (Nicholas) Rodriguez who will always be referred to as Slim, his partner in crime Mindy Cavazos, and his brother, fellow DJ and golf partner Ellie Herevia.  Viewing and Visitation will be on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at J.
