Marie A. Yoder, age 75, of Hudson, passed away February 9, 2020, at Lynwood Manor in Adrian. Born September 22, 1944 in Independence, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Frese and Grace (Kozak) Frese. Moving to Michigan as a baby, Marie lived in Lenawee County and the Hudson area most of her life. Marie graduated from Hudson High School in 1962. On December 10, 1966, she married Samuel S. Yoder, son of Jonas J. and Katie (Peachey) Yoder. Sam and Marie were married for 46 years before Sam’s passing December 13, 2012. Marie was very talented at everything she did. Some of her favorite things to do were crocheting, sewing, woodcarving, card making, and collecting cookbooks. Marie was a very good cook and worked at many restaurants in the area. She retired from Ford Motor Company in Saline in 2008. Marie was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Adrian. She was active in their Prison Ministries and Bible Publishing. Marie also traveled to Archbold, Ohio once a week working with the Care and Share thrift store and Tatter Club. The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Hazzi and his staff, Henry Ford Allegiance 6th floor west, Lynwood Manor staff, and Hospice of Lenawee, for all of the care and love they provided Marie. Surviving Marie are sons David (Jennifer) Yoder of Unionville, Mi, Stanford Yoder of Hudson, Mi, and step son Roger Yoder of Leola, Pa; 5 grandchildren, Cassidy, Jonas, Jacob, Isabelle and Nehemiah Yoder; sister LuAnna (Jon) Daane of Jackson, Mi, brother Jules (Deb) Frese of New Port Richie, Fl, sister in law Susie (Joe) Detweiler of Loganton, Pa, and many nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Sam and his parents, step daughter Tina Stine, and a brother Albert Frese, 12 sisters in law and 11 brothers in law. At Marie’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time.
