Lyle M. Springett Jr.

Lyle M. Springett Jr. passed away Saturday July 20th 2019 at Lynwood Manor after a losing his battle with colon cancer. He was predeceased by his father Lyle Springett, his sister Rosalee Perrin and his brother Keith Springett. He was survived by his mother Eileen Gould;his daughters, Kimberly (Jason) Showers and Shannon Springett; his grandchildren Sophia, Jaxon and Leland Showers; His siblings Debbie (Joe) Barletta, Joanne (Charlie) Denton, David (Judy) Gould; and also several nieces, nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Lyle worked for IBM (EIT) in Endicott NY for many years before his health issues led to him retiring. He moved to Michigan to be with his sister until she passed away in 2013. Lyle loved to bowl and spent a lot of his time teaching his daughter Kimberly his tricks of the trade as well as softball. Lyle loved the New York Yankees and rarely missed a game. He once even managed to get out of a ticket when his tire cover for his Chevy Blazer became the main topic of conversation.  He played in several horseshoe tournaments in his days. He loved music and was known to jam out with his headphones on as he played card games on the computer. He was an avid reader and had quite the book collection over the years. Lyle will truly be missed by his family, friends and anyone who crossed his path.  A memorial service will be planned at a later date in his home state of New York for family and friends. We would like to take the time to thank the people who surrounded him with love and took great care of him in his time in Michigan.  Thank you to the Lynwood Manor staff for taking such good care of him as well as the team at Hospice of Lenawee.
