Lora Kaye Thayer

Lora Kaye Thayer, age 58, of Adrian, MI, passed away, January 28, 2022, at Provincial House. She was born August 6, 1963, in Tecumseh, MI, the daughter of Cletus & Meredith (Hoffmeister) Sims.  Lora attended Tecumseh High School. She worked as a prep cook at Tecumseh Country Club for several years. If you couldn't find Lora with Pepsi in her rocking chair, she would be found cooking in the kitchen. You were only a stranger to her once.  She is survived by her mother, Meredith Sims; four children, Rochelle Sims, Meggan McKinney, Lance (Sashianna) McKinney and Paige Toole; her grandchildren, Sydney, Amaia, Mariah, Dean Jr., Lamont, Zuhaila, Tierra, Taniah, Lennex, Traiven, Lacai'le and Malea; one brother, David Sims; two sisters, Lisa Wines and Linda (Larry) Burgett; and several nieces & nephews.She was preceded in death by her father, Cletus Sims.  Viewing & Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at J.
