Linda Williams-Labute

Linda Williams-Labute (Grieshaber), aged 67, went on to her next adventure on February 11th, 2020. She always said life was an adventure and approached most challenges that way. Cancer was the last and most unwanted of adventures but was approached with a positive no quit attitude until the end. Born in November of 1952 Linda was a Milan, MI native; a fact which her children bemoan, as it made them related to a large portion of the town. After moving across the country as a teenager she married in California and moved with her husband and daughter back to Milan. She worked at St Joseph Hospital in Ypsilanti from September 1980 – May 1989, before she stayed home to take of her rambunctious brood. She volunteered at the Umbrella Shop, was a Girl Scout leader or volunteer (depending on the year) and on some days managed to have 4 kids in 4 different places at the same time. As her children got older she worked in the Milan High School Cafeteria where she both frightened and fascinated impressionable young people, not related to her (earning the well-deserved moniker The Dark One). Her final years she worked for Guardian Science and Technology as their irreplaceable Environmental Services Employee and Cranky Old Lady. She is survived by 4 children: Jalynn White (Mike), Jacinda Grieshaber, Charles Grieshaber Jr (Samantha) Jamie Grieshaber and 9 grandchildren: Natasha, Dajr, Octavion, Michael, Leala, Alayna, Anya, Nadia and Bruce.
