Linda Wattles Obituary

Linda R. Wattles, age 76, of Adrian, MI, passed away on January 28, 2021.  She was born September 5, 1944, in Adrian, Michigan, the daughter of Franklin and Evelyn Wood.  She married David M. Wattles on May 28, 1982.  Linda is survived by her husband; three children, Sheila Garren of North Carolina, John LeBaron of East Tawas, Michigan, and Doug LeBaron of Adrian, MI; and two granddaughters that she raised as her own, Amanda (Jacob) Wagner of Adrian, MI and Amber (Chad) Ellenwood of Adrian, MI.  She is also survived by two brothers, Larry (Elaine) Wood of Dolidar, Missouri and Harry (Cyndy) Wood of Tecumseh, MI, grandchildren, Danielle, Patricia, John, and Wayne, and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Roy Wood. Linda faithfully attended Union Gospel Church in Tipton, MI.  She loved to decorate her home and the church for every holiday.  She enjoyed cooking big, impressive meals for her family and friends, making sure everyone was thoroughly stuffed when they left the table.  Linda was full of grit and resolve.  She could never be persuaded to slow down for even a second.  She was often regarded as "feisty" by those who knew and loved her well.  She was a fighter who survived many difficult hardships without ever losing faith in God.  She loved fiercely and never gave up on those she loved.  She will be missed intensely by her family and friends as they imagine her in heaven, as free and feisty as ever. The family is planning a celebration of life at a later date.
